It was another high-scoring weekend in the BCMML. Only two of the ten games played ended with a two or fewer goal difference, and five games ended with a five or more goal difference. The Vancouver NW Giants continued dominating the league with a 11-1 and 6-2 win over the South Island Royals. The Giants consistently have high scoring games which not only keeps them at the top of the league in points, but also in goals for as they currently have 98. The Valley West Hawks, who also won both of their games this weekend 4-1 and 2-1 against the North Island Silvertips, are in second place with 29 points and 88 goals for.
Other high-scoring games this weekend include the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds defeating the Thompson Blazers 9-3, the Okanagan Rockets defeating the Cariboo Cougars 6-1 and the Vancouver NE Chiefs defeating the Kootenay Ice 6-2.
The Vancouver Giants have the top two players: Josh Latta who has 10 goals and 28 assists earning him 38 points and Justin Wilson who has 16 goals and 20 assists earning him 36 points. Matt Kowalski from the Okanagan Rockets is tied for second with 16 goals and 20 assists earning him 36 points as well. Ben Evanish from the Valley West Hawks is still leading the league in goals with 21, and Josh Latta’s 28 assists put him at the top of the league.
