There were seven games played last week in the NSMMHL, and some of the teams continued the high-scoring streak. Five teams scored five or more goals, including the Valley CIBC Wood Gundy Wildcats beating the Steele Subaru Major Midgets 7-6 and the Steele Subaru Major Midgets beating the Cape Breton Tradesmen 9-0.
This weekend put the Cole Harbour Pro Hockey Life Wolfpack in first place with 12 points, and the Weeks Major Midgets are in second place with 10 points. Dylan Riley of the Wildcats is currently leading the league with six goals and six assists earning him 12 points in his seven games played. Mac Walford of the Wolfpack is currently the top goalie with a 2.00 goals against average, with Brendan Cregan of the Steele Subaru Major Midgets close behind him with 2.01.
Remember to keep up to date with all the top teams and players; standings can change quite quickly this early in the season.
